The clone is sometimes referred to as “tiny hand grenades” for the enormous punch it packs. Our Dijon 115 no exception, it is big, bold and beautiful. The wine, produced off block 8A of Hyland Vineyard boasts a floral nose laced with rose petals, smoky black cherry, leather, tobacco and a hint of anise. The wine has a more refined, harmonious mouthfeel than the previous vintage with very smooth, integrated tannins. The attack hits with cherry and plum notes with a hint of vanilla on the mid-palate and is complimented with tea leaves and Mediterranean spices on the finish. This wine can be enjoyed now for its hedonism or cellared over the next 10-15 years.
